​Definisi Cause and Effect

Sebab (Cause): adalah penyebab atau sebab terjadi sesuatu hal

Ø  mengapa sesuatu terjadi ?

Ø  menjawab pertanyaan “mengapa”

Akibat (Effect): Konsekuensi atau hasil yang terjadi.

Ø  Menjawab pertanyaan “apa yang terjadi”

Contoh :

·         Because it was raining, the game was canceled.

·         She got a good grade on the test because she studied hard.

·Preposition (kata depan) : Because of, Due to, Owing to (dilanjut dengan Noun/ Noun phrase)

·Conjunction (kata hubung) : Becasue, since and As ( dilanjut dengan sentence/ kalimat)

   Contoh = i got a fever because i got caught in the rain yesterday

2. Effect + Preparation + Cause

   Contoh = i need to go back home because of heavy rain
