A mini computer is a small, powerful computer that can be used for everyday tasks. Mini computers can be desktop-sized.

• Minicomputers were developed in the mid-1960s and were smaller and less expensive than mainframe computers. 

• The first minicomputer was the PDP-8, developed by the Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC).

• Minicomputers are intermediate in size, speed, and capacity between microcomputers and mainframes. 

• Mini PCs 

  • Mini PCs are compact versions of desktop computers that can be used in various settings.

  • They can be used for web browsing, office applications, and media playback.

  • Mini PCs can be easy to maintain and replace.

  • Some examples of mini PCs include the Apple Mac mini.
