Air is colourless, odourless and tasteless. you cannot touch it, but you can feel it.
moving air is called wind
gently blowing air is called breeze
a strong wind that can cause damage is called storm. when this is accompanied by rain and thunder, it is called thunderstorm .

during the day, the air above the land gets
heated up quickly with the heat of the sun
and moves upwards . the air from the sea
(above the water) rushes in to take its place.
this is called sea breeze.

at night, the air above land cools faster than the air above then water. hence, the air above sea water is warmer, and moves upwards. the cool air from the land rushes to taken its place. this is called land breeze.

Composition of Air
Air is all around us, but we cannot see it. the air in Earth's atmosphere is made up of approximately 78% nitrogen 21% oxygen, 1% other gases and water vapour. the other gases include carbon dioxide and hydrogen. oxygen is used by living organisms for breathing. this gas is also important for the process of burning. carbon dioxide is used by plants to prepare their food.
Air also contains dust, smoke and germs.
