introduction:-

the latin name of fraction is Fractus.it means broken.fractions are always in ratio form.it has 2 parts the upper and the lower part.the upper part is numerator the lower part is denominator.

fraction in its lowest term

we get the lowest term by dividing the numerator and denominator example:- the lowest term of 45/65 is what a] 9/13 b] 2/3 c] 5/9 d] all of the above answer:- [a] the common divisor of 45 and 65 is 5 therefore,,dividing 45 and 65 by 5 we get 9/13

​i bought a pizza but it has no sclices cut it is a whole in fraction language it is a 1/1

in the first picture it is a half of a pizza but in fraction language it is a 1/2 it is also known as a half in the second picture they they wrote 4/8. 4/8 lowest term is a 1/2 [half]

​in the picture they have mentioned each part is a 1/4 part so then each part is a quarter part did you know 1/4 part it is a quarter so if i eat i part i ate a quarter if i ate 2 parts i ate a half but if i ate 4 parts i ate 1 whole

proper fractions

proper fractions are which numerator is < than the denominator for example:- which is a proper fraction? a] 6/5 b] 10/9 c] 3/6 d] none of these answer:- [c]

fractions which have the numerator > than the denominator are improper fractions for example:- which is a improper fraction? a]5/6 b]9/7 c]dont know d]all of these answer:-[b]

unit fractions

unit fractions are the fractions which have 1 as the numerator for example:- which is a unit fraction? [more than 1 answer] a]1/2 b]5/6 c]1/4 d]1/1 answer:-[a],[c],[d]
