What is perimeter?

the continuous line forming the boundary of a closed geometric figure:

The outside can be called sides and broken up into lengths and width. Each shape will have a different perimeter even if they have the same area.

How do we find perimeter?

We find the perimeter by adding the sides to find the total of the boundary.

The formula would be: Perimeter= Length *Width or

Length + Length + Width + Width.
