Translation
Definition: In math, a translation moves a shape left, right, up, or down but does not turn. The translated shapes (or the image) appear to be the same size as the original shape, indicating that they are congruent. They've simply shifted in one or more directions.

2

Reflection

A reflection in mathematics is a type of geometrical transformation, where an object is flipped to create a mirror or congruent image. The bisector of the plane is known as the definition on the line of reflection, and it is perpendicular to the preimage and image.

3

Rotation
Rotation means the circular movement of an object around a centre. It is possible to rotate different shapes by an angle around the centre point. Mathematically, a rotation means a map. All the rotations around a fixed point that make a group under a structure are called the rotation group of a unique space.

4

Dilation

A dilation is a transformation that changes the size of a geometric figure but does not change its shape. The original shape is the pre-image and the dilated shape is the post-image or image. To find the length of the sides in a dilated image, multiply the length of the pre-image sides by the scale factor.
