​Nancy is making a quilt. She needs to buy 7/8 yd of cloth for part of the quilt. The cloth sells for $5.75/yd. To determine the cost of the purchase, Nancy converts the number of yards that she wants to buy to a decimal. What is the decimal value?

Write the fraction as division.

7/8=7÷8

Write the fraction as the numerator divided by the denominator.
