Adverbs
Adverbs generally answer when, how, in what way, or to what extent an action is done.
Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs.

Examples
She smiled happily. (in what way?)
We watched that movie frequently. (how often?)
The students were really tired. (to what extent?)
Friday I watched hopefully for my team to win the game. (when? in what way?)
NOTE: MANY adverbs end in -ly but NOT all of them
