Statement: Where you start will determine where you end up.

Opinion: The place where you are born and grow up affects your future. Research shows that people from low-income families have more challenges, like less access to good schools and healthcare. These challenges can make it harder to succeed. For example, a study found that children from poor families are more likely to drop out of high school and less likely to go to college. Also, the people and environment around you shape your goals. If you have positive role models and a supportive community, you are more likely to follow your dreams. But if you live in a neighborhood with many struggles and few resources, it will be hard to succeed. Where you start in life can give you advantages or create big challenges. This shows that your starting point will determine your future.

• Either create a 5 slide presentation or a three paragraph essay explaining their beginnings and how they overcame their initial struggles.
