"A child or young person has special educational needs and disabilities if they have a learning difficulty and/or a disability that means they need special health and education support, we shorten this to SEND"

You’re disabled under the Equality Act 2010 if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a ‘substantial’ and ‘long-term’ negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities.

Poll

How confident are you working with children/young people who have SEND?

Really confident - I know beforehand who is coming to the session and I can adapt the activities to suit

Kinda confident - I am more confident with some areas but need to build my understanding more

Not really confident - it can be difficult to manage in a group. I need to ask for help from more experienced coaches to build my skills

Not confidence at all - It stresses me out trying to adapt for a child with SEND
