​What is a conjunction?

​-A conjunction is used to connect words, phrases, or clauses in a sentence.

​-Conjunctions are like the "glue" of sentences. Without them, sentences wouldn't make much sense!

Examples of conjunctions in sentences:

F. (for) --> We took detailed notes, for we didn't want to forget anything.

​A. (and) --> He raised his hand, and his teacher called on him.

​N. (nor) --> Neither Sam nor Alex knew what to do.

​B. (but) --> I want to listen to music, but I forgot my headphones.

​O. (or) --> Do you prefer coffee or tea?

​Y. (yet) --> I want to pass my test, yet I don't want to study.

​S. (so) --> I hope this lesson helps, so you will feel more confident.
