The relationship between solubility and temperature can be represented by a solubility curve
• each point on a curve represents the maximum amount of the solute that can be
dissolved in 100 g of water at a particular temperature. Therefore, each point on
the curve represents a saturated solution
• any point below a curve represents an unsaturated solution
• any point above a curve represents a supersaturated solution
• for most solids, as temperature increases, the solubility increases

intersect with the solubility curve for NaNO3.

drawn in the previous step. The point where this horizontal line intersects with the vertical axis will give the mass of dissolved substance.Read the solubility from the graph
