What is a modifier?

• A modifier is a word, phrase, or clause that modifies — that is, gives information about — another word in the same sentence.

• Un modificador es una palabra, frase o cláusula que modifica — es decir, proporciona información sobre, otra palabra en la misma oración.

Types of Modifiers

Tipos de modificadores

• Adjectives (modify nouns and pronouns) — the BLUE car / Adjetivos (modificar sustantivos y pronombres) — el carro AZUL

• Adverbs (modify verbs) — she ran QUICKLY / Adverbios (modificar verbos) — ella corrió RÁPIDAMENTE
