For this equasion you have a rectangle with a triangle at the end. The side lengths of the rectangle are 6 and 5, and the side lengths of the triangle are 8 and 5. First you multiply 6 by 5 which equals 30, then for the traingle you multiply 8 by 5 which is 40 then due to the triangle being half of a square you divide 40 by 2 which equals 20. To finaly get the full area of the composite figure you add both answers so it is 30 + 20 = 50.

To get the area of this composite figure you should first split it, one part will be 9 and 5 , the other will be 10 and 4. First you multiply 9 and 5 to get 45, then you multiply 10 and 4 to get 40. To finish it off you have to add both of these answers, so you do 45 + 40 = 95.
