​Desperate- Reckless because of feelings of despair.

​Edible- Safe or fit to be eaten.

​Frivolous- Not serious or important; silly.

​Harvest- The gathering of ripe crops for a season.

​hew- To chop down or cut with blows from an ax.

​hostile

​hostile- Unfriendly; of or like an enemy.

​pledge

​pledge- To make a serious promise.

​prosper

​prosper- To succeed, especially in terms of money.

​task- A piece of work that needs to be done.
