To write in 1st person use: I, me, we and us.
I made a new potion today and when we drank it, it turned us into animals!

3rd Person
To write in 3rd person use: He, him, his, she, her, hers, it, they, them, their.
He saw the dragon crash to the ground somewhere in the forest so he took his dagger and went to look for it.

Listen to the story again. Is the story written in 1st or 3rd person

The story is written in the 3rd person. The person telling the story is not one of the characters.
And so Pete decided to go home instead,
If he couldn't have dinner, he'd go straight to bed.
