Poll
Before we start I want to ask:
What is the rock cycle???
(This has no points so dont worry)
The rock cycle shows how rocks are related and how the earth changes them over time.
The rock cycle is a series of processes that create and transform the types of rocks in Earth’s crust.
The rock cycle is a basic concept in geology that describes transitions through geologic time among the three main rock types: sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous.

The rock cycle
The rock cycle shows how rocks are related and how the earth changes them over time. This is a picture of the rock cycle. ------------------------>
4
First there are 3 types of rocks.
These are the 3 types:
Igneous
Sedimentary
and Metamorphic
5
First I'll make sure you understand each type of rock. First the igneous rock.
The Igneous rock is made by cooled down magma.
6
7
Open Ended
What is the rock cycle?
I will personally check them so don't worry!
8
Sedimentary rocks
Sedimentary rocks are formed by accumulation or deposition of the mineral.
9
Multiple Choice
What are sedimentary rocks?
Rocks that are formed by the hotness and hardness of the ground
Rocks that are formed by accumulation or deposition
Rocks that are formed by cooled down magma
They are caused by great heat and pressure
All of the above
10
Metamorphic rocks
They are rocks that under go great heat and pressure
11
How does the rock cycle work???
Rocks turn from one type into another in an endless cycle. Inside Earth, heat, pressure, and melting change sedimentary and igneous rock into metamorphic rock. ... Intense heating results in hot liquid rock (magma) bursting through Earth's surface and turning into solid igneous rock. Then, the rocks get eroded and the process starts again
12
Multiple Choice
What is the rock cycle?
The rock cycle shows how rocks are related and how the earth changes them over time.
The rock cycle shows how soil eventually converts into a rock.
The rock cycle shows how random objects get converted into a rock
This shows that over time rocks can go from normal sand to obsidian.
