Graphing with TI-84

1. Turn your calculator on

2. To turn it off, first press the "2ND" button near the top, then the "ON" button again​

​Basics

• Only deletes the current character

• Use the arrow keys to select what to delete​

Delete

Clears everything

Clear

Use to move around within what you've typed, or around on a graph

Arrows

​Just like any other calculator

Be sure to use the negative button when needed NOT the subtraction

​​Decimal and Negative

1. ​Type a number, use () around negatives​

2. Use the x² button to raise that number to the 2nd power​

Square

1. ​Type a number, use () around negatives​

2. Use the ^ button to raise that number to any power

Caret

1. ​Use the blue "2ND" button, then select the x² button

2. Type a number​

3. Close the ) after​, or arrow over

1. Press the "MATH" button

2. Press "ENTER" to select

3. Press "ENTER" again to convert to a fraction​

2. Arrow down to 6 and hit enter OR use the 6 key​

3. This will reset the screen

3. Press GRAPH and you should see the two lines cross
