Box Method

  • Split your two digit numbers up by place

  • Ex: 52 becomes 50 and 2, and 23 becomes 20 and 3

  • Multiply each place by the other digit

  • Ex: 52 x 23 = 50 x 20 , 50 x 3, 2 x 20 and 2 x 3

  • Add your partial products together

  • Ex: 1000 + 150 + 40 + 6 = 1196

  • FInal Step = Celebrate :)
