Adjective

Adjectives are words that describe the qualities or states of being of nouns: strong, long, smart, short, hot, and so on.

A noun phrase is a technical term for a group of words that contains a noun, along with modifying words for that noun. As a reminder, a noun names a person, place, thing, or idea.
