Insects have 3 main body parts, the abdomen which is like a human stomach, the thorax which would be like our throat or neck area, and lastly the antenna which insects use to smell.

Spiders don't have wings or antennae. Their sense of smell comes through the bristles on their legs.

Butterflies are special insects. They begin their lives as caterpillars. Through their life-cycle they become butterflies.

The butterfly life cycle begins with an egg, then a caterpillar (larvae) is born. The caterpillar forms a pupa or chrysalis. Then a beautiful butterfly appears.
