Odd number

cannot be divided exactly by 2. All odd numbers are more or less than a multiply of 2.

Even number

A number can be divided exactly by 2 is an even number.

General statements about odd and even number

• Odd x odd = odd, ex: 3x3=9

• Even x even = even, ex: 4x4=16

• Odd x even = even, 3x4=12
