Bio-remediation means to use biological organisms to solve an environmental problem such as contaminated soil or groundwater.

Biofuel/Bioethanol

A non polluting fuel made from plant material that can be used in place of gasoline.  Using corn or agricultural waste to produce fuel. Bioplastic made from corn instead of petroleum.

Genome

• A genome is the entire genetic code of an organism. The human genome project was an international research effort to determine the sequence of human genome and identify the genes that it contains. In humans, that's over 20,000 genes! The completed human sequence can now identify the location of each gene.
