Massachusetts Colony was officially settled in 1630 as a Puritan colony. This was ten years after the Mayflower arrived. Towns in the colony included Boston, Quincy, Plymouth, Salem, Lexington, and Concord.
Rhode Island Colony was formed in 1636 to be a colony of religious freedom., Towns in the colony included Providence, Portsmouth, and Newport.

Connecticut Colony was formed in 1636 as a Puritan colony. The towns in the colony included Hartford, New Haven, Wethersfield, and Windsor.
New Hampshire Colony was formed in 1638 as a Puritan colony. The towns in the colony included Dover and Exeter.
The Middle Colony of New York was originally founded in 1626.
The Middle Colony of Pennsylvania was founded in 1681.
