Ants, flies, bees, wasps, cicadas, walking sticks, moths, butterflies, dragonflies, mosquitoes and praying mantises are the most common insects. A oak tree as its producer, a squirrel as the primary consumer who eats the acorns of the oak tree, a raccoon as the secondary consumer who eats the squirrel, and a wolf as the tertiary consumer who eats the raccoon.

The Bald Eagle has adapted to the Deciduous Forest the most out of all of the other animals living here. This graceful creature has adapted to the environment by having extremely sharp eyesight. This allows the bird to see even the smallest of mice and fish so that they can swoop down and eat them up.

Temperate deciduous forests are located in the mid-latitude areas which means that they are found between the polar regions and the tropics. The deciduous forest regions are exposed to warm and cold air masses, which cause this area to have four seasons. The largest temperate deciduous forest is in the eastern part of North America, which was almost completely deforested by 1850 for agricultural purposes.
