What is fiction?

Fiction refers to stories that are made up. Fiction text can refer to true events with added imagination. There are several types of fiction.

Types of Fictions

Contemporary Fiction: stories in present day; based on reality

Historical Fiction: stories in the past; may include real people and events​

Science Fiction: stories about science and technology in the future

Fable: stories with a lesson or moral

Myth: stories from certain places; may be based on cultures, past lives, or how something in nature came to be​
