What is a rate of change?

A rate of change is a rate that describes how one quantity changes in relation to another!

For example, getting $5 every 1 hour would be a rate of change between money ($) per time (hour).

A constant rate of change is a linear relationship (aka. straight line that sometimes goes through the origin!)
