Silent Letters

When we say words with silent letters, we only pronounce the audible letters. However, when we spell words with silent letters, we spell the audible letters, and silent letters. 

How do you learn what words have silent letters in them?

Typically, the only way to remember if a word has silent letters in it or not is by memory. However, there are a few letter patterns you can look for, that indicate if a word has a silent letter in it.
