Literary allusions found in scene two-
Biblical - Jephthah vows to sacrifice the first thing that comes out of his door if he is successful at battle. When he returns home victorious, his daughter is in the doorway and walks out to greet him. He keeps his promise.
Mythological - Dido, Priam, and Aeneas are characters in the Aeneid. Pyrrhus, the son of Achilles, killed king Priam of Troy to avenge his father's death. Priam's wife witnesses her husband's death and is horrified. Her cries were piteous.
