2
Directions:
This is an interactive presentation. While we go through the lesson there will be pictures, information, and questions for you to interact with.
*If you have questions, please put up the hand reaction or type it in the chat to MRS. GOELMAN.
3
Lines
a straight or curved continuous extent of length
SEGMENT: has 2 end points
LINE: goes on for ever on both sides
RAY: has 1 endpoint and 1 never ending side
**IN THE CHAT: Note where you see a line, line segment, or ray.
4
Multiple Select
Choose all of the pictures that show a line segment.
5
Perpendicular and Parallel Lines
type of set of lines
can be identified by intersection
6
Perpendicular Lines
2 lines that intersect or cross
must cross at 90 degrees or a right angle
if the lines do not make a 90 degree angle = intereseting lines NOT perpendicular
7
Multiple Choice
Choose the picture that shows perpendicular lines.
8
Parallel Lines
2 lines that NEVER intersect
the length of each line does not matter
9
Multiple Select
Choose all of the pictures that show parallel lines.
10
Angles
form when 2 lines meet
can be classified by the measurement between the two lines
can stand alone
can be part of a 2D or 3D figure
11
Right Angle
shaped like an L
always equals 90°
12
Acute Angle
any degree less than 90
13
Obtuse Angle
any degree more than 90
14
Straight Angle
always 180 degrees
looks like a straight line
