Lines

  • a straight or curved continuous extent of length 

  • SEGMENT: has 2 end points

  • LINE: goes on for ever on both sides

  • RAY: has 1 endpoint and 1 never ending side

Perpendicular and Parallel Lines

  • type of set of lines

  • can be identified by intersection

Perpendicular Lines

  • 2 lines that intersect or cross

  • must cross at 90 degrees or a right angle

  • if the lines do not make a 90 degree angle = intereseting lines NOT perpendicular
