Genetic Engineering Debate
By Mr. Frommelt
2
Here is how the debate will work...
I will present the Quizizz slide and you will first take a minute to respond on Quizizz
Next, I will ask who is for or against the idea
I will then allow three people, on each side, the chance to state why the believe that side
I will open the floor for a quick discussion
You will get points for today by either being one of the side representative or by voicing your opinion in the open forum

IF YOU DO NOT ABIDE BY THE RULES:
IF you speak out of turn or do not mute when requested, you WILL be kicked from the Meet and NOT get your participation points. This counts as a Lab so it is a lot of points.

Here is the situation...
We, as a class, are going to be some of the first people to experience genetic engineering with CRISPR in our lifetime. We have been assembled before a court to answer questions from the Chief of the Genetic Engineering division about our views and how it will affect the rest of human history. The teacher will play the role as the Chief and moderate the discussions. Remember, these decisions will impact the rest of human history.
