As we complete Lit Circle, we want to be good participants
Active participant: being engaged in an activity, being aware of what is happening, and being alert. Your mind is focused on what you are doing.
Passive participant: being included in a situation but not taking part in it. You are there, but you are focused on something else.

Your classmates will probably not be completing the same job as you every day
You have the freedom to complete the literature circle jobs in the order you choose
You can still have a good discussion with your classmates even if you are completing different jobs (or are at different sections of the book)

Each day you will be choosing a different job to do.
Use the Job Chart on page 91 and the Notes on pages 92-101 in your ELA Notebook to record annotations for your job and readings each day

Choose the Lit Circle job that you are going to complete today
Read the pages for today from your Reading Schedule on page 90 of your ELA Notebook
While you read, make sure you are annotating either in your book or on the notes pages in your ELA Notebook
After you read and complete your job, head to the padlet to share
