A force is a push or pull, which occurs when two or more objects interact with each other. A pull is when you use force to move a thing (object) closer to you. A push is when you use force to move a thing (object) away from you.
When force is applied to an object, the size and shape of an object may change. The shape of an object changes when force is applied on it. Pushing, pulling, pounding, compressing, bending, twisting, tearing, stretching or squeezing are some ways of changing the shape of an object.
