What happens in the brain when we listen to music?
When we like a melody, pleasure centers are activated in the brain. By perceiving sound waves, we experience emotions that provoke the secretion of dopamine in the brain, a neurotransmitter considered responsible for pleasant sensations and the sensation of relaxation.
