Today we are going to learn about point of view. This is a literary technique that authors use.

What is Point of View?
Point of view = WHO is telling the story. Whose point of view is the story told from?
There are three types of point of view:
First person
Second person
Third person

A character in the story is the person telling the story.
They use words like, I, me, and my
They reveal their thoughts and feelings but they do not know the thoughts and feelings of the other characters.

Third person-limited: there is an outside narrator who knows the thoughts and feelings of only one of the characters
Third person-omniscient: there is an all-knowing narrator who knows the thoughts and feelings of all of the characters
