1

What is cell

A cell is the basic building block of all living things. It is the smallest unit that can carry out all the processes of life. Cells have different parts that each do specific jobs All plants, animals, and other organisms are made up of cells

2

What is eukaryot and prokaryot

Cells can be classified into two main types: prokaryotic and eukaryotic. Prokaryotic cells, found in organisms like bacteria, lack a defined nucleus and membrane-bound organelles. Eukaryotic cells, present in plants, animals, fungi, and protists, have a nucleus enclosed by a nuclear membrane and various specialized organelles, such as mitochondria and the endoplasmic reticulum.

Parts of cell

  1. Nucleus: The control center containing DNA.

  2. Cytoplasm: The jelly-like substance that fills the cell.

  3. Cell Membrane: The outer layer that controls what enters and leaves the cell.

  4. Mitochondria: The powerhouse that produces energy.

  5. Ribosomes: The sites of protein synthesis.

  6. Lysosomes: The waste disposal units (mainly in animal cells).

  7. Chloroplasts: The sites of photosynthesis in plant cells.

  8. Cell Wall: The rigid outer layer in plant cells.

  9. Vacuoles: The storage sacs, larger in plant cells.
