We use levers to move objects that are too heavy to lift on their own.
A lever is a bar that can turn when you exert a force on one end.

More about levers
The lever is a force multiplier because it makes the effect of the force that you exert much bigger.
Some objects are used as distance multipliers. A distance multiplier is a tool that increases the distance moved by a force.
