Some nouns have irregular plurals.

There are special rules for them!

SOME nouns that end in "f" or "fe" change the "f" to "v" and add "es."

• wolf → wolves

• leaf → leaves

• life → lives

While others.... don't.

• roof → roofs

Unforunately, you just have to memorize them.

• A good rule, though, is that, if it looks wrong, it probably is.

• wolf → wolfs → NO!!!!

• roof → rooves → NO!!!!

For nouns that end in a vowel and "o," add -s.
