What is POINT OF VIEW?

POV is the perspective or eyes from which the story is told.




First-Person POV: me, my, mine, we, us, ours,


Second-Person POV: you, your (usually is used for instructions)


Third-Person POV: he, she, her, they, them (also character's names)

Three Types of Third-Person Narration

A)Third-Person Omniscient

Narrator is all knowing.

Narrator tells thoughts and feelings of more than one character.

Omni = All Scient = Knowing


B)Third-Person Limited 

    Narrator is limited to one character.

Tells thoughts & feelings of one character


C) Third-Person Objective

Narrator does not reveal any character’s thoughts or feelings. No Thoughts are included.
