What are possessive nouns?
They show ownership
SINGULAR POSSESSIVE NOUN
Shows that ONE PERSON, place or thing has or owns something.
PLURAL POSSESSIVE NOUN
Shows that MORE THAN ONE person, place or thing has or owns something.

HOW DO I DO THIS?
For singular nouns
To make a singular noun show possession, add an apostrophe (') and -s.
baby - baby's crib student - student's pencil
dog - dog's bone teacher - teacher's computer

HOW DO I DO THIS?
For plural nouns THAT END IN -S
To make a plural noun show possession.
If the plural noun ends in -s, add an apostrophe at the end (')
soldiers - soldiers' uniforms teachers - teachers' chairs
students - students' desks pens - pens' tips

For plural nouns that DO NOT END IN -S
To make a plural noun show possession.
If the plural noun does not ends in -s, add an apostrophe (') and -s
