what is probablity ?
probability is where 0 indicates an impossible event and 1 indicates a certain event. when the outcome of an expirement is all equally alike you can find probability of an event by dividing the number of outcomes in the event by the total number of outcomes

if a and b are independent then the probability of both a and b occuring is the product of the probability
The sum of probabilites outcomes to 1
the probability of an event not occurring is 1 minus the probability of the event thats occurring
