Let's study
MULTIPLICATION
Multiplication teaches students how to multiply whole numbers. Students will learn a few different methods for multiplying, including arrays, object grouping, and repeated addition
2
Multiplication is a repeated addition, you take groups of equal numbers and repeat them
what is multiplication?
why do we need multiplication?
OBJECTIVES
Multiplication is basically addition, we need multiplication when we need to add several things of the same value
3
Counting Multiplication
Ways to make multiplication easier
In multiplication we can't memorize them easily so we have ways to answer and the most common way is counting!
4
Ways to count multiplication
Dactylonomy/Finger reckoning
this is a way on counting multiplication if you can't count with your mind to keep on the track with the value of number you're counting! it is also the most common way on counting in multiplication
5
Ways to count multiplication
Mind reckoning
It is another way of counting in multiplication by skip counting or counting one by one with your mind with no sign of help with fingers or writing/drawings
6
Ways to count multiplication
Multiplication and Addition
for those who don't know what addition is, it is Plus(+) or adding numbers, this is another common trick in multiplication we add the number to its same value and repeat (Ex: 5x6=) we plus 5 by 6 times 5+5+5+5+5+5
7
Ways to count multiplication
Memorizing
In multiplication it is very important to memorize the numbers all the way to 100 or more it makes skip counting easier if you know the next number of the value you are at (Ex: 6x4=) we all know 6x2 is equal to 12 because we added 6 to another 6 so by memorizing the next number to add you'll get the value you're looking for

Ways to count multiplication
Skip counting
Skip counting is another way on counting multiplication, it is well known because you can count a number faster that counting them one by one for example 2x7= we have to count them by 2,4,6,8 till we get to the exact value it is mostly easy to use in even numbers
