Simplify the expression.  $\left(\frac{1}{2}a^2b^2\right)^3\left[\left(-4b\right)^2\right]^2$   

• Power of a Power: distribute the power on the outside of the brackets to each term inside.

• Power of a Product: distribute the power on the outside of the parentheses to each term inside.

• Commutative: rearrange the terms in order to combine like terms.

• Product of Powers: combine any terms with the same base by adding the exponents.
