As the site of the Spindletop oil discovery, Beaumont was one of the first cities to experience the oil boom

Transforming it into a major center for the oil and gas industry. The city's port became a key transportation hub for shipping oil products, and numerous oil companies established their headquarters in Houston

Located in the Permian Basin, one of the most prolific oil-producing regions, Midland and Odessa experienced significant growth during the Age of Oil.

While not directly in the oilfields, Dallas also benefited from the oil boom.

Fort Worth also played a role in the oil industry's growth, serving as a center for finance, transportation, and trade related to the oil boom.

The impact of the discovery of oil at Spindletop cannot be overstated. Although oil fields and refineries existed elsewhere in the country, nothing the size of Spindletop had ever been seen before. Oil companies flocked to the area. Some of the country's biggest oil companies grew out of Spindletop.
