Expanded Form

A form that shows the value of each digit of a number. I can think the 3 is in the hundreds place so it is 300. The 5 is in the tens place so it is worth 50. and the 8 is in the ones place so it is worth 8. If I had used base ten blocks to build each digit, I would add them all together to get the total value of 358. That is how expanded form works!
