The True Story of Sacagawea
Born in the Shoshone Tribe in present day Idaho, at 12, she was captured by Hidatsa raiders and eventually sold to a French Canadian Fur Trapper
She had a child that she took on the trip with Lewis and Clark.
She played an important role on the expedition; guide, finding edible plants, and saving precious cargo.
Eventually, the expedition came across a Shoshone tribe that was her own and she found her brother who was now the Chief.
