Possessive Pronouns

Possessive pronouns take the place of a possessive noun. Both a Possessive noun and possessive pronoun show who or what owns something.


Daylen's bike is green.

His bike is green.


In the first sentence the possessive nouns Daylen's tells us that Daylen owns the bike. In the second sentence, the possessive pronoun His take the place of Daylen.
