Light waves
Type of transverse wave
Do not need a medium to travel through
Traveling in rays
5
Rays
A line of energy that moves in one direction until it hits an object.
6
Properties of light waves
Light can be reflected, refracted or absorbed.
reflected:
To bounce off an object
7
Refraction:
To bend when passing through an object.
Light can refract when they enter a new medium.
The way the light refracts depends on the type of matter they passes through.
8
