A type of writing where the author presents a claim/viewpoint on a controversial issue and supports it with evidence, reasoning, and persuasive techniques.
The goal is to convince the reader to agree with the author's position.

How do you convince a friend to go to the movies with you/hangout? Do you have any “go-to” phrases/points?

A type of academic writing where the author presents an argument & attempts to persuade the reader to agree with their viewpoint.
